The apostle should not dream of ending his life to general approval and applause. If applause is your goal, don't worry about your work being fruitful--it won't be (VMC 9565).
From Father Tom: That seems to say it all and it is consoling when we realize that much of our activity is in fact not applauded--rather despised or condemned...like the Master's activity, so we're in good company.
