FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT

Lk 4: 1-13

Charity is a theological (= God oriented) virtue.  Through it we love God above all things and for Himself, and our neighbor for love Him (BM p. 23)

From Father Tom: Charity in this sense is rather rare, i.e. the ability to put God first whenever there is a choice: go to church/watch tv; be kind to someone you know dislikes you; refuse to pass on juicy gossip; etc.  We can all do this occasionally but to do it always...
