Self-mastery is obtained when we master our hearts. We are in peace if our heart is righteous, good and attuned to God's rule (BM p. 98).

From Father Tom: That seems self-evident. And how do we reach this stage? Largely by turning frequently to God--Who is always beside us, ready for a quiet chat--and asking Him to correct what may be a little out of line.
