The center of Pastoral life is the Eucharist, as sacrifice, sacramental and Real Presence (Alla Sorgente p. 72).

From Father Tom: This thought came as new tome some years ago when I was preparing materials for the Year of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the center. Surely we should say the Gospel is the source of Church work. No, because the Gospel explains but does not give the energy to put the explanation into practice.
