The incarnate Son of God was tempted, therefore temptation is no disgrace for anybody, but is, on the contrary, a means of winning a higher place in heaven (BM 307).

From Father Tom: This assumes that we avoid the persons, places or things which past experience shows to have been occasions of temptation, not only against chastity but also against obedience and poverty which in general we may not take seriously enough.
