St. Francis of Assisi, who possessed the true spirit of Jesus, wanted first of all that His members should leave everything and submit themselves totally to God and to His Providence (RSP p. 273).

From Father Tom: This should be true of us--but the constant strain of making a living these days excuses us in great part.
