If envy reigns, the charity of Jesus is not there; if anger reigns, the meekness of Jesus is not there (APD 1956, 276).

FROM FATHER TOM:  We are generally aware if we are angry or not but envy is something else: a sort of corrosion which wears away the good feelings we should have and makes them seem justified.
