O Mary, continue from heaven your apostolate of giving Jesus , Way, Truth and Life to the world. Many nations are poor because they lack Jesus Christ. New generations are starting life's journey. The world will be saved if it welcomes Jesus.

From Father Tom: I think the meaning here is that the nations who do not follow Christian principles are poor in the sense of being devastated by war and famine. Same for us. A soul can also be devastated if it lacks the Lord's presence.
