Accustom the aspirants to deny themselves. The religious life is renouncement and also is patience and love for Jesus (APD 1957).
Seems to have been said to the Sister Disciples many years ago. Still very relevant: first denial and control of our minds, then of speech and action. The Founder certainly led the way on all these points--I had a ring-side seat to observe them!
