Mary Queen of Apostles

Mary Queen of the Apostles

~From the Voice of the Founder (July-September 2020)

There are many prayers composed by the Founder to honor Mary, Queen of Apostles. Among these is the Chaplet to the Queen of the Apostles, centered around five moments brimming with love and apostolic sensitivity, which suggest the mysteries of a rosary and is also called:

“the Queen of the Apostles Rosary”

1st mystery:-- The annunciation and Jesus’ birth: Most loving Queen of heaven and of earth…, I honor and praise you for your unique privilege. You pleased God in your humility, faith, and virginity, and He granted you the privilege of becoming the great Mother of the Divine Savior, our Master, true Light of the world, infinite Wisdom, Source of all truth and first Apostle of truth.

2nd mystery:-- Jesus’ Passion and Death: Mary, Queen of all the angels…, remember that painful and solemn moment in which the dying Jesus from the cross gave you John as your son, and in him, all humanity and especially all the apostles.

3rd mystery:-- The coming of the Holy Spirit at the Cenacle: Virgin most pure…, rejoice for the days in which you were Teacher, Comforter and Mother of the apostles in the Cenacle to invoke and receive the Divine Paraclete, the Spirit with the seven gifts, Love of the Father and of the Son, Transformer of the apostles.

4th mystery:-- Mary’s Assumption: Our tender Mother Mary…, I recall the blessed moment in which you left the earth to fly to the loving embrace of Jesus. It was the omnipotent favor of God which assumed and glorified you in body and soul.

5th mystery:--Crowning of the Virgin Mary: Mary, Star of the Sea, our life and Queen of peace…, how great and how wonderful was the day on which the august Trinity crowned you Queen of heaven and earth, dispenser of all graces, our most lovable Mother.

Mary, Queen of the Apostles…Pray for us.

A Prayer for a Closer Union With Jesus

Prayer for a Closer Union With Jesus

Jesus, reveal Your Sacred Heart to me and show me its attractions. Unite me to it forever. Grant that all my desires and every beat of my heart, which does not cease even while I sleep, may be a witness to You of my love for You and tell You: Yes Lord, I am Yours!  The pledge of my loyalty to You rests ever in my heart and shall never cease to be there. Accept the little good that I do and be pleased to make up for all my wrongdoing so that I may e able to praise You in time and in eternity. Amen

Consecration of the Family to Mary

CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY TO MARY

Come, O Mary, enter and dwell in this house, which we offer and consecrate to you. You are welcome: we receive you with joy as your children. We are unworthy, but you are so good that you willingly establish your dwelling among your weakest children. We receive you with the love with which John took you into his home after the death of your Son, Jesus, Distribute to each of us the spiritual graces that are most needed, as you brought them to the house of Zechariah.

Grant the material graces, just as you obtained for the bride and groom at Cana the transformation of the water into wine. Keep us far from sin. Be light, joy, and sanctification, as you were in the family of Nazareth. Be our Mother, Teacher and Queen. Increase in us faith, hope and charity. Infuse in us the spirit of prayer.

May Jesus, Way, Truth and Life always dwell here! Raise up vocations among our loved ones. Grant that all the members of this family may one day be reunited in heaven. Amen

A Mother's Day Note for Mother Mary

A Daughter’s Note to Mother Mary on Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day, My Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for accepting me into your heart as your child.  I am sorry for all the times I have neglected you. Forgive my lack of appreciation and my ingratitude, as well as my inconstant, no, maybe inconsistent is the better word, love. You are my Mother, my teacher, my queen.  You are “Mom”, “Mama”, “Mommy”. There is none better.  I thank you for all your love, your intercession and your protection; for all you are to me and for all you help me to be, and for leading me to your Divine Son.  In all things you are my role model.

For all that you do and for all that you give; for all that you are and for so much more, Mother Mary, I thank you and I love you.

Always.

Happy Solemnity of St. Jospeh

Happy Solemnity of St. Joseph, everyone. Now, on this special day, let us invoke his special aid and protection.

St. Joseph, patron of the Universal Church, of the dying, of workers and families, pray for us.

Chaplet of St. Joseph

1. St. Joseph, faithful cooperator in our redemption, have pity on poor humanity, still wrapped in so much error and so many evils. You were a docile instrument in the hands of the heavenly Father, in arranging everything for the birth and childhood of Jesus, for the preparation of the Victim, of the Priest, and of the Divine Master of the world. St. most docile to the will of God, obtain for us zeal for vocations and for their formation. For ourselves, we ask you for generous and constant correspondence to the precious gift of God’s call.

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

2. St. Joseph, model of every virtue, obtain for us your interior spirit. In loving and active silence, in the practice of all religious and civil laws, in docility to everything God willed, you arrived at a high degree of sanctity and heavenly glory. Obtain for us an increase of faith, hope and charity, an ample infusion of the cardinal virtues, an abundance of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

3. St. Joseph, we venerate you as the model of laborers, the friend of the poor, the consoler of the afflicted and those forced to leave their own land, the saint of Divine Providence. On earth you represented the universal goodness and concern of the heavenly Father. You were the carpenter of Nazareth and work- teacher to the Son of God, who became a humble laborer for us. Assist with your prayers all who labor in intellectual, moral and material work. For the nations obtain legislation inspired by the Gospel, the spirit of Christian charity, a way of governing in accord with justice and peace.

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

4. St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, we bless the Lord for your intimate communication with him during his infancy and youth at Bethlehem, in Egypt, and at Nazareth. You loved him with a father’s love and he loved you with the love of a son. Your faith made you adore in him the incarnate Son of God, while he obeyed you, served you, listened to you. You held pleasant conversations with him, shared work, great sufferings and most tender consolations. Obtain for us the grace never to offend Jesus by sin. Pray for us that we may always receive the sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation fittingly, attain to a great intimacy with and a tender and strong love for Jesus while on earth, and possess him forever in heaven.

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

5. St. Joseph, pure spouse of Mary, we humbly ask you to obtain for us a true devotion to our tender Mother, Teacher, and Queen. By divine will, your mission was associated to Mary’s. With Mary you shared sufferings and joys; with her there was a holy rivalry in virtue, work and merits; union of mind and of heart. St. Joseph, pray for fathers and mothers. Obtain for us the grace to know the Blessed Virgin Mary, to imitate her, to love her, to pray to her always. Draw many souls to her maternal heart.
~St. Joseph, pray for us.

6. St. Joseph, protector of the dying, we supplicate you for all the dying, and beg your assistance in the hour of our own death. You merited a happy passing by a holy life, and in your last hours you had the ineffable consolation of being assisted by Jesus and Mary. Deliver us from sudden death; obtain for us the grace to imitate you in life, to detach our heart from everything worldly and daily gather treasures for the moment of our death. Obtain for us the grace to receive the sacraments of the sick well, and with Mary, inspire us with sentiments of faith, hope, love and sorrow for sins, so that we may breathe forth our soul in peace.

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

7. St. Joseph, protector of the universal Church, look kindly upon the Pope, the episcopate, the clergy, the religious and laity. Pray for the sanctification of all. The Church is the fruit of the blood of Jesus, your foster Son. We entrust to you our supplications for the extension, liberty and exaltation of the Church. Defend her from errors, from evil and from the powers of hell, as you once saved the threatened life of Jesus from the hands of Herod. May the desire of Jesus come true: “That there be one fold under one shepherd.”

~St. Joseph, pray for us.

Examen...

This was in the footnotes of My 33 Days to Morning Glory for the 19th day of Marian Consecration.  I thought it was amazing and helpful and wanted to share.  My thanks to oppositeman, who posted it on the Catholic Answers forum, allowing me to cut and paste.

Written by Father Michael E. Gaitley, MIC, director of the Association of Marian Helpers, the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.

The examination of conscience (also called “examen”) should be made sometime toward the end of the day. Most people make it shortly before going to bed. It’s basically a mental review of the previous 16 hours or so of consciousness.

To make the examen, first, we should put ourselves in the presence of God. In other words, we should begin with the attitude that the examen is a time of prayer, not just a mental exercise. Devoutly making the Sign of the Cross may be enough to do this.

Next, we just have to remember one word: baker, B-A-K-E-R, baker. Actually, we also have to remember what each letter of this word stands for.

B stands for"blessings". According to St.Ignatius, this is the most important of the five points. Here we simply review our day, survey the many blessings God has given us throughout it, and then praise and thank Him for these blessings. For instance, maybe we had a great conversation with someone at lunch. During the examen, we might want to reflect on that gift on that gift and praise and thank God for it. Of course, we don’t have to go through every single blessing of the day. That would take way too much time. The key is to let one’s heart roam about and settle on the particular peaks of joy and blessing of the day, what Ignatius calls “consolation”. One more thing: We shouldn’t forget to thank God for the crosses of the day, which are also blessings.

A stands for “Ask”. Although we already placed ourselves in the presence of God when we began the examen, here we need to ask for a special grace from the Holy Spirit, the grace to recognize our sins. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we’ll remain blind to our sinfulness. Thus, when we get to this second point, we need to ask the Holy Spirit to help us recognize our sinfulness, which brings us to the next point.

K stands for “Kill”. Why “kill”? Because it was our sins that killed and crucified Jesus. During this third point, we look at our sinfulness (weaknesses and attachments, too). So, again, we gaze across the conscious hours of our day. This time, however, we look not for peaks but valleys, what Ignatius calls “desolation”. In other words, we pay attention to those times during our day when our hearts dropped. Why might they have dropped? Maybe because of someone else’s sin. Maybe someone said something unkind to us. Fine. Did we forgive them? If so, good. If not, well, the examen is a good time to deal with it.

Now, let’s keep looking. Here’s another time our hearts dropped. It was this afternoon at work, standing by the water cooler. Hmmm. Why did our hearts drop then? Ah, yes (thanks, Holy Spirit), that’s when we struck Bob with a verbal barb. Let’s see, anything else? Yes, there’s another heart dropper. We didn’t accept the traffic jam on our way home as a small sharing in the Cross. We should have been more peaceful about it and offered it up as a prayer for others.

Okay, so after remembering all those heart-dropping moments, we may feel pretty down. Such a feeling may make us want to run away from Jesus. Let’s not. When the weight of our sinfulness drags us down, that’s the best time to go to Jesus, sinfulness and all - which brings us to the next point.

E stands for “embrace”. This is to allow Jesus to embrace us, sinners that we are, with the rays of His merciful love. While praying over this point, it may be helpful to think of the image of Divine Mercy. I like to imagine the rays of this image embracing me with forgiveness. I also like to remember Jesus’ words that it rests His Heart to forgive and that when I go to Him with my sinfulness, I give Him the joy of being my Savior. I believe that at this point of the examen, we greatly console Jesus when we simply let Him embrace us with His merciful love - and of course, we, too, are consoled. I recommend spending some time lingering on this point (in the embrace) before moving on to the next.

R stands for “Resolution”. During this last point of the examen, we take what we’ve learned from the previous points and look ahead to the next day, ready to make resolutions. For instance, having recognized during “K” that we stuck Bob with a verbal barb at the office today, we might resolve that tomorrow morning we’ll make it up to him by going to his cubicle, slapping him on the back, and congratulating him on how his football team did earlier this evening. Also, having remembered that we were impatient during the traffic jam today, we can resolve to bite our tongues if the sea of brake lights appears again tomorrow. Finally, because during “B” we realized that God was speaking to us during our lunchtime conversation with Sally, giving light on a certain problem, we can resolve to act on that light by looking up the online article she recommended. (I think we get the idea.)

Consecration to the Holy Angels

Today, while learning about St. Raphael,  I learned a little about the nine choirs of angels, with some special emphasis on the importance of our Guardian Angel and of consecrating ourselves to this, the most special and important friend given us by God.  If you feel called, you might consider making the consecration to the Holy Angels in general, and to your Guardian angel in particular.  I have provided an approved Consecration below. :)

God bless...

The Consecration to the Holy Angels

O Holy Angels of God, here, in the presence of the Triune God and in the love of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, I, N.N., poor sinner, want to make a covenant with you, who are his servants, so that in union with you, I might work with humility and fortitude for the glory of God and the coming of his Kingdom. Therefore, I implore you to assist me, especially - in the adoration of God and of the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, - in the contemplation of the word and the salvific works of God, -in the imitation of Christ and in the love of his Cross in a spirit of expiation, - in the faithful fulfillment of my mission within the Church, serving humbly after the example of Mary, my heavenly Mother, your Queen. And you, my good guardian angel, who continually behold the face of our Father in heaven, God entrusted me to you from the very beginning of my life. I thank you with all my heart for your loving care. I commit myself to you and promise you my love and fidelity. I beg you: protect me against my own weakness and against the attacks of the wicked spirits; enlighten my mind and my heart so that I may always know and accomplish the will of God; and lead me to union with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith approved this Consecration prayer on May 31, 2000 for use in Opus Angelorum.© 2000 Congregazione dei Canonici Regolari della Santa Croce – Roma

A Healing Prayer

A HEALING PRAYER
Found in the back of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel (6-4-19)

Jesus, heal our lives,
Our broken spirits,
Our hearts and minds
 Our body and soul.

Jesus, hear our prayer
You know our weakness,
Our struggle and pain,
For You too have suffered.

Jesus, listen in love
As You did at Cana
To Your mother Mary
And respond in mercy.

Amen

A Lenten Prayer for Spiritual Renewal

~From Catholic Online
God, heavenly Father,
look upon me and hear my prayer
during this holy Season of Lent.
By the good works You inspire,
help me to discipline my body
and to be renewed in spirit.

Without You I can do nothing.
By Your Spirit help me to know what is right
and to be eager in doing Your will.
Teach me to find new life through penance.
Keep me from sin, and help me live
by Your commandment of love.
God of love, bring me back to You.
Send Your Spirit to make me strong
in faith and active in good works.
May my acts of penance bring me Your forgiveness,
open my heart to Your love,
and prepare me for the coming feast
of the Resurrection of Jesus.

Lord, during this Lenten Season,
nourish me with Your Word of life
and make me one
with You in love and prayer.

Fill my heart with Your love
and keep me faithful to the Gospel of Christ.
Give me the grace to rise above my human weakness.
Give me new life by Your Sacraments, especially the Mass.

Father, our source of life,
I reach out with joy to grasp Your hand;
let me walk more readily in Your ways.
Guide me in Your gentle mercy,
for left to myself I cannot do Your Will.

Father of love, source of all blessings,
help me to pass from my old life of sin
to the new life of grace.
Prepare me for the glory of Your Kingdom.
I ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.

Amen.

What do these companions indicate who were invited by the apostles to come to the rescue to gather all the fish and bring them all to the shore?  They refer to the cooperators. Cooperators are those who work with you, that is, those who do this: “cooperate” means “they work with”, they work with you, for the same purpose (AAP58, 2)

A Lenten Prayer...

I thought I'd put this lovely prayer up in preparation for Lent. It can, of course, be said at any time, but would make a lovely spiritual work of Mercy for Lent.

According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that the following prayer, each time she piously recited it, would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory:

“Eternal Father,
I offer You the most precious blood
of thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said
throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the universal Church,
for those in my own home,
and in my family. Amen.”

Do Whatever He Tells You

Wonderful advice, whether we are discerning our vocation or just making important, or even the run of the mill decisions of our life.

DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU.

But how do I know what that is? Speak, Lord, your servant is listening. Open my eyes that I may see, my ears that I may hear and my heart and will, that with the help of Thy grace, I will learn and put into practice Your most Holy and Divine Will always and is all things and in every situation.

WHAT TO DO YOU WANT OF ME LORD, THAT I MAY DO IT?

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life.  I want to follow You with all my heart.  Amen

Holy Water

Reflection/Prayer:  Make devout use of holy water. Dip your finger into the holy water and say:

“By this holy water and by Your Precious Blood, wash away all my sins, O Lord, bless my family, have mercy on the dying, and relieve the souls in purgatory,” and then make the Sign of the Cross.

`Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.  May they rest in peace. Amen

Prayer for the Family

Prayer for the Family

O God, Who has given us in the Holy Family of Nazareth a perfect model of family life lived in faith and in obedience to Your will, we thank You for our family. Grant us the strength to remain united in life, in generosity and in the joy of living together. Help us in mission of handing on the faith we received from our parents.

Open our hearts to our children, so that the gift of faith they received in Baptism may grow in them. Strengthen the faith of our older children, so that they may grow in the knowledge of Jesus. Increase love and fidelity in all couples, and especially in times of suffering and difficulty. Grant Your grace and blessing to all the world’s families and bless especially our Holy Father N. with wisdom and strength. United with Joseph and Mary, we ask you to grant us these blessings through Jesus Christ, Your Son.

1st Wednesday of the Month Chaplet: St Joseph

Wednesday
To St. Joseph

The first Wednesday is dedicated to St. Joseph for these intentions: protection for the universal Church; assistance for each one of us and a good death for all those dying during the month; divine Providence in all our needs.

1st Tuesday of the Month Chaplet: The Holy Souls in Purgatory

TUESDAY
For the Souls in Purgatory

The first Tuesday is dedicated to the souls in purgatory to send them suffrages and to avoid purgatory ourselves.

1. Lord, my Creator and Redeemer, I believe that in your justice you established purgatory for those souls who pass into eternity before having totally paid their debts of sin or punishment. I also believe that in your mercy you accept suffrages, particularly the holy sacrifice of the Mass for their relief and liberation. Stir up my faith and infuse in my heart sentiments of pity toward these dear suffering brothers and sisters.

~Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them...

2. Lord, Jesus Christ, King of glory, through the intercession of Mary and all the saints, free the souls of the faithful departed from the punishments of purgatory. And through the intercession of St. Michael, standard-bearer of the heavenly army, guide them to the holy light promised to Abraham and to his descendants. I offer you, Lord, sacrifices and prayers of praise. Accept them for these souls and admit them to eternal joy.

~Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them...

3. Jesus, good Master, I plead with you on behalf of the souls toward whom I have a greater debt of gratitude, justice, charity and family bonds: parents, benefactors, brothers and sisters of the Pauline Family and relatives. I recommend to you those who had greater responsibilities on earth: priests, religious, civil authorities, superiors. I plead with you also for forgotten souls, and for those who were more devoted to the Divine Master, to Mary, Queen of Apostles, and to St. Paul the Apostle. Lord, deign to admit them soon into eternal happiness.

~Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them...

4. Jesus, divine Master, I thank you for having come down from heaven to free us from so many evils by your teaching, holiness, and death. I plead with you on behalf of the souls who are in purgatory because of the press, motion pictures, radio and television. I have confidence that these souls, once freed from their sufferings and admitted into eternal joy, will supplicate you on behalf of the modern world, so that the many means you have granted us for elevating this earthly life may also be used as a means of apostolate and life everlasting.

~Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them...

5. Merciful Jesus, by your sorrowful passion and by that love which you have for me, I beg you to cancel the punishments which I deserve in this life or in the next because of my many sins. Grant me, Lord, a spirit of penance, purity of conscience, hatred for every deliberate venial sin, and the dispositions necessary to gain indulgences. I resolve to help the holy souls in purgatory with suffrages as much as I can. And you, infinite Goodness, infuse into my soul ever greater fervor, so that when my soul is separated from the bonds of my body, it may be admitted into heaven to contemplate you forever.

~Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them...

1st Monday of the Month Chaplet : St Paul (a little late)

How could I have forgotten to post St. Paul's chaplet for the first Monday of the month?!!?

MONDAY

TO ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE

On the first Monday we draw close to St. Paul to know him and to pray to him, to obtain and form good vocations, to ask for the spirit of the apostolate for ourselves and for the cooperators.

1. I bless you Jesus, for the great mercy granted to St. Paul in changing him from a bold persecutor to an ardent apostle of the Church. And you, great saint, obtain for me a heart docile to grace, conversion from my principal defect and total configuration with Jesus Christ.

St. Paul, the Apostle, pray for us.

2. I bless you, Jesus, for having elected the Apostle Paul as a model and preacher of holy virginity. And you, St. Paul, my dear Father, guard my mind, my heart, and my senses, in order that I may know, love, and serve only Jesus, and employ all my energies for his glory.

St. Paul, the Apostle, pray for us.

3. I bless you, Jesus, for having given through St. Paul examples and teachings of perfect obedience. And you, great saint, obtain for me a humble docility to all my superiors, for I am sure that in obedience I shall be victorious over my enemies.

St. Paul, the Apostle, pray for us.

4. I bless you, Jesus, for having taught me, by the deeds and by the words of St. Paul, the true spirit of poverty. And you, great saint, obtain for me the evangelical spirit of poverty, so that after having imitated you in life, I may be your companion in heavenly glory.

St. Paul, the Apostle, pray for us.

5. I bless you, Jesus, for having given to St. Paul a heart so full of love for God and for the Church, and for having saved so many souls through his zeal. And you, our friend, obtain for me an ardent desire to carry out the apostolate of the media of social communication, of prayer, of example, of activity and of word, so that I may merit the reward promised to good apostles.

St. Paul, the Apostle, pray for us.

1st Sunday of the Month: Chaplet of the Divine Master

The Pauline chaplets are said the first seven days of each month (one chaplet for each corresponding day) and can also be said at any other time.

SUNDAY
TO JESUS MASTER

The first Sunday is dedicated to Jesus Mster and Mediator, so that in him, through Him and with Him, the Blessed Trinity may be glorified, thanked and petitioned. Let us remember the last things, especially our goal: heaven.

1. Jesus, Divine Master, we adore you as the Word Incarnate sent by the Father to instruct us in lifegiving truths. You are uncreated Truth, the only Master. You alone have words of eternal life. We thank you for having imparted to us the light of reason and the light of faith, and for having called us to the light of glory. We believe, submitting our whole mind to your and to the Church. Master, show us the treasures of your wisdom, let us know the Father, make us your true disciples. Increase our faith so that we may attain to the eternal vision in heaven.

Jesus Master, Way and Truth and Life, have mercy on us.

2. Jesus, Divine Master, we adore you as the Beloved of the Father, the sole Way to him. We thank you beause you made yourself our model. You left us examples of the highest perfection. You have invited us to follow you on earth and in heaven. We contemplate you in the varous periods of your earthly life. We docilely place ourselves in your school and follow your teachings. Draw us to you so that by following in your footsteps and renouncing ourselves, we may seek only your will. Increase active hope in us and the desire to be found similar to you at the judgment, and to possess you forever in heaven.

Jesus Master...

3. Jesus, Divine Master, we adore you as the only-begotten Son of God, come on the earth to give Life, the most abundant life, to humanity. We thank you becuse by dying on the cross, you merited life for us, which you give us in baptism and nourish in the Eucharist and in the other sacraments. Live in us, Jesus, with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so that we may love you with our whole mind, strength, and heart, and love our neightbor as ourselves for love of you. Increase charity in us, so that one day, called from the sepulcher to the glorious life, we may be united with you in the eternal happiness of heaven.

Jesus Master...

4. Jesus, Divine Master, we adore you living in the Church, your Mystical Body, and our sole ark of salvation. We thank you for having given us this infallible and idefectible Mother, in whom you continue to be for humanity the Way, the Truth and the Life. We ask of you that those who do not believe may come to her inextinguishable light, the erring return to her, and all peoples be united in faith, in a common hope, in charity. Exalt the Church, assist the Pope, sanctify the clergy and religous. Lord Jesus, our wish is yours: that there be one fold under one Shepherd, so that we may all be reunited in the Church exultant in heaven.

Jesus Master...

5. Jesus, Divine Master, we adore you with the angels who sang the reasons for your Incarnation: "Glory to God and peace to all people." We thank you for having called us to share in your own apostolate. Enkindle in us your own flame of zeal for God and for souls. Fill all our powers with yourself. Live in us so that we may radiate you through our apostolate of prayer, suffering and social communication, as well as by word, example and deed. Send good laborers into your harvest. Enlighten preachers, teachers, writers; infuse in them the Holy Spirit with His seven gifts; dispose minds and hearts to receive Him. Come, Master and Lord! Teach and reign, thorough Mary, Mother, Teacher and Queen.

Jesus Master...

Before or after meditation, or during the Hour of Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament, the following is said or sung: Master, we know that you are truthful and teach the way of God in truth. (See "Other Prayers" for the Magnificat)

Heroic Act of Love

Father Tom Fogarty was the superior of the Holy Family Institute in the USA when I came into the Holy Family Institute and he oversaw my formation.  One of the things he instilled in me before he passed away, was a great love and concern for those who died unexpectedly and unprepared and for the Poor Souls in Purgatory.  I pray for both every day, but I thought I’d share a special Pauline prayer for the Souls in Purgatory that would be a wonderful way to help our dearly departed loved ones, including Father Tom, and all the faithful departed, during this month dedicated to the Souls in Purgatory (and at any other time). May God bless you for all you do for them, this month and always.

Heroic Act of Love

My God, for Your greater glory
in union with the merits of Jesus
and Mary, I offer and surrender
the satisfactory value of all the good I will do
and all the suffrages I will receive after my death,
for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Dispose of everything according to Your Divine
Will.
