The Church, in the only Mass of this day celebrates the institution of the Most Holy Eucharist and of the priesthood. The priesthood is first of all for the Eucharist (BM 585).

From Father Tom: Interesting observation. We priests have to remember what we are doing on the altar and what makes us "different" although not better.
