The Christian who is only half a Christian is disgusting to the heart of Jesus (BM 347).
From Father Tom: Strong words even if Fr. Alberione wrote them. I would be more inclined to say: "disheartening" or "dismaying" -- words to indicate not the Master's anger, but His infinite sadness. The Lord is not looking on coldly while we go wrong, but it is anxious to see us get back to Him again and resume our friendship.
