The more a soul has dispositions of love and humility the more she is used by God for great things and raised to great perfection (BM 668).
From Father Tom: True, but not necessarily visible great things. The drawback to visible greatness is that almost inevitably the soul begins to muse on the part she played--forgetting that the ability to play is God's gift, the possibility of playing is God's gift and the results are mostly God's gift. "What have you that you have not received?" (St. Paul)
