Lk 24: 1-12

The angel told women to announce to the apostles that Jesus had risen. Jesus Christ entrusted the same mission to Mary Magdalen.  This indicates that women have an important role in society (BM  335).

From Father Tom: Our holy Founder was no Feminist, but--well ahead of his time-he understood the role of women in society and in the Church.
