It is not vanity to be resolved to give good example--it is a duty. Everybody has that obligation (BM p. 331).

From Father Tom:  ...a reminder about an oft-forgotten duty. Sometimes we even excuse our misbehaviour by saying that others must not judge us. True, but first we must not give them anything to judge.
