May Saint Joseph, cooperator in the work of the Redemption, make our Brother Disciples wise and generous cooperators in the ministry of God's word. May they be always gifted with piety and docility, for these are the two secrets of their holiness and their apostolate (SP Mar 1950)

From Father Tom:  Well, yes, but what about a little spontaneity? I would say that our holy Founder fulfilled this definition--he was anything but free and easy, and people in his presence knew there was something special about him. But that was in his 60's onwards. Do you think you can gain more self-control when you reach that age?
