True social virtues cannot exist if there are no true individual virtues. True religious virtues must precede the apostolate (FSP 56,p. 223).

From Father Tom: Meaning that we must be as virtuous as we recommend others to be? Makes sense. Otherwise we are common-or-garden(variety?) hypocrites. Not a pleasant thought
