Youth is the foundation of one's entire life. The person, who as a young person has loved work, has practiced delicacy of conscience, study, apostolate and poverty, will be a good Religious (FSP 5. p. 276).

From Father Tom: I think this applies to all of us. Happy are we because we have been chosen also for this good background.
