Love between spouses must be full of reverence and solicitude. They should see themselves as a  twosome on the way to eternity, supporting each other in difficult and dangerous steps (BM p 491).

From Father Tom: The theory of marriage could not be clearer. The reality frequently falls short. And yet there is great scope for real holiness if the couple takes time out to pray and --just as important--to enjoy each other's company. This second aspect cannot afford to be neglected.
