Charity is an immolation, not an exploitation of the Congregation for one's advantage (FSP 58, p. 251).

From Father Tom: Seems to refer to a special situation but in general it points out that if we want to exploit the Religious Life (not doing an honest day's work), we can. At the end of our lives, however, we will have tremendous remorse--but too late.
