Whoever gives to the poor will receive from God and perhaps the maximum reward (UPSIII 36).
From Father Tom: Especially if we are talking of the spiritually poor. However we should not neglect the materially poor either. Every year I give in your name to the local branch of Charities and I hope this is ok--it's your money.
