Consecrated life is a gift of God and is an act of perfect, ongoing love. It is a step that the Lord proposes to privileges souls (SP Octo 54).
From Father Tom: Judging how some live it, it is just one thing they do, one more good group they have joined in their lifetime and so obligations are skipped or forgotten, members say every prayer that comes their way, correspond when they like, etc. A sad situation.
