The time of Spiritual Exercises is for recollection: it is the time in which one isolates himself to find himself to find himself alone with God, to talk to Him about one's own life; about the journey one has made and about what is still wanting in one's sanctification (FSP 58, p. 436).

FROM FATHER TOM:  The Triduum is not exactly Spiritual Exercises--rather a time to meet old friends. But that, too, can be a blessing--the Lord reaches out to us in many different ways.
