MONTHLY INTENTION: Religious and Priestly Vocations

Among zealous works, the problem of vocations occupies first place. Jesus did not begin His public ministry by preaching: He began it by making disciples (UPS 185).


FROM FATHER TOM: Principle here is clear but not in this sense only. We are in an age of machines, and there is a distinct awareness--even fear--that they will eliminate the need for people.  Not so and God will never allow His creation to be replaced by soulless steel.

In the prayer that he offered to the Lord in the morning with the chalic, his first thought was that of the Cooperators...and it is of intellectual, spiritual and economic collaboration (AD, 25)
