If a man is, in the first
place, intelligent, created for the truth, it is obvious that the first and
most serious temptation is directed to the mind. Already they first battle fought in heaven
was a battle of thoughts and ideas; it was the first mistake, that Satan
compared himself to God (ACV, p. 89).
