The specific aim
of the publishing apostolate is the glory of God and the salvation of people’s
souls. It is the same program that the Angels put into song at Bethlehem’s
crib: “Gloria Deo, pax hominibus.” It is
the program of Jesus Christ and of his perennial life in the Church. A very
lofty aim, therefore, a divine aim (AE, 17).
