If
the tongue is not governed, who knows what can be said before night falls? The uncontrolled words of people whose mouths
are never closed always bring repentance afterwards (Pr E 349).
Father Tom: St. James in his Letter
(Jas 3:5) gives a powerful—and disturbing comment on the harm a loose tongue
can cause. If it were just limited to
the person I speak to, but, alas! That is
seldom the case!
