1 Cor 1: 17-25
Mt 25: 1-13
One dies as he lives. Rich in merits, we take them into eternity with us. Deep in sin, we will appear like that at the judgment (BM 47).
From Father Tom: An important thought as regards being "deep in sin". There is no discussion with the Lord after death or appeal for mercy. Sin sweeps over our soul and we stand helpless before the Divine Judge. Let's get everything right NOW... while we are still in time.
