Our word can be dead--if there is no divine grace to enliven it (VMC 1131).
From Father Tom: Do I have to make this point again? I have made it again...and again.. and again. When our work is enlivened by grace obtained by prayer it will do good in some way according to the Divine design. If there is no prayer...in vain do we count the external "results." On earth, maybe. In heaven..."??
