The apostolate of example is obligatory not only because we're to live well, but because our life must be an open book for others. (VMC 1168).
From Father Tom: How am I doing on this point? How are you? Unless we live in the Sahara desert we are always impressing someone, favorably or unfavorably. It is an aspect of our exam that we don't always remember.
