ST JOHN CHRYSOSTOM, BISHOP,
DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH
1 Cor 10: 14-22
Ps 116: 12-18
Lk 6: 43-49
The Lord lights up the lamps ahead of us, gradually, as we walk and there is need; He does not light all of them quickly and at the start, when they are not yet needed. He does not waste the light, but always gives it at an opportune time (SP Apr-May 1959).
From Father Tom: The Founder shares some of his philosophy of life on the Master's dealings with us. We received as needed the graces to do the Lord wishes us to do. Fr. Alberione was scrupulously careful to ascertain the will of God before every significant step he took--rightly so. How much can any of us accomplish if God does not support us?
Please Pray for Our Deceased: Doris Osegueda Santin IAM (1999)--Sr. M. Tecla Quiroz Hernandez FSP (2001)--Art Bropy (1999)--James A. Ducote Sr. (1978).
