Love for the Gospel is a sign and mark of souls that God reserves for grandiose enterprises (RSP33, p. 82)
From Father Tom: The Founder may have been referring to himself as one of those "souls God reserves for grandiose enterprises." Fr. Rolfo in his first-class bio of Fr. Alberione and the Pauline Family, seems to think that the Founder never quite conquered his pride. My own opinion is that, if this is so, he certainly tried very hard. We who are called less glorious enterprises can still imitate him in this.l
