OUR LADY OF SORROWS
OF THE DAY
1 Cor 11: 17-26
Ps 40: 7-10
Jn 19: 25-27
On Calvary, a mutual look of tender love between Mother and Son was enough to make them understand each other, join them in suffering, in purpose and in sacrifice (BM p. 386).
From Father Tom: Calvary again, but now with the Sorrowing Mother introduced. Sorrowing mothers are nothing new in our society
* weeping beside their sons in the court room, shamed
* by daughters who seem to have lost all shame and
* often forgotten and rejected in their old age.
*Let us pray for all mothers that their pain may be eased.
Please Pray for Our Deceased: Fr. Espedito Visconti IJP (1982)--Lina Savoldi IAM (1988)--Sr. M. Valentina Moser FSP (2005)--Eusetio Albano (1940).
