MATTHEW, APOSTLE and EVANGELIST

Why should we become discouraged if we are no more successful than Jesus and St. Paul were? Let's just keep doing our best (VMC).
Jesus ended his days on the Cross. Paul was beheaded. Both had substantially failed at the material level. That could happen for us. But...does it matter?
