If we work hard and are committed to daily progress in the apostolate then we can say we love the Lord (AAP 1960).
Quite right--as long as we are convinced that our daily occupation is our major and most effective apostolate, while our "work for the Church" whatever it might be is less important. Hard to believe, isn't it?
