Lk 13: 1-9

The Divine Master will appear at the end of the world in the splendor of His mission and glory--and all of us will be there at the judgment (BM 680).

I shall often put the goodness of God and my sinfulness face to face and shall ask the Master pardon for the sin that has made Him suffer so much (BM 339).

From Father Tom: I can do that any time--not just in Lent.  On the one hand, avoid pessimism when we look at the past, on the other hand avoid undue optimism about the present:  we are not yet at the end of the road and the occasional robber may get us.
