Vocation is an act of love on God's part and requires a voluntary act of love on our part if it is to be followed (RSP 535).
From Father Tom: The reference is to a religious vocation or to ours. The whole Institute is an act of Divine love, totally new, the inspiration of a Saint and so, if we are faithful, will continue after our deaths and spread throughout the world.
