The Gospel has intrinsic power. Every time we read the Gospel we have the guarantee of good fruits (RSP 196).
From Father Tom: Not speaking in tongues? How disappointing! But what good would tongues do if we had no apostolic courage or ardent zeal? We have a tongue in our head already, but could use more courage and zeal--all of us could!
