The Son of God was tempted, so temptation is a good chance to make spiritual progress. Let's not be disheartened, but fight and win with courage and joy (BM 307).

From Father Tom: Well...yes, but first of all we must have strong faith and strong convictions--not so common in our time when a large number don't seem to know what "temptation means.
