The Son of God washed with His Blood the spiritual wounds of humanity. He healed them with the oil of grace and the wine of the Eucharist(BM 637).

From Father Tom: The word "wounds" reminds us of the state of the world where there is no day without some innocent being wounded.  But what is that compared to the decaying corruption in so many souls?
