Animated by a living faith and by a firm hope, let the missionary be a man of prayer; let him be ardent through the spirit of virtue, of love, of self-control; let him learn to be content with the conduit in which he finds himself; let him always bear the death of Jesus in heart through the spirit of sacrifice: (Ad gentes, 25).

From Father Tom: As usual I fixate on prayer, without which the missionary may produce some effects but not results. And, come to think of it, have I myself produced results in this member or that…results, not mere information?
