Amiability cannot be just a light-hearted veneer but must proceed from "thinking what is good to willing what is good for one's brothers (BM p. 101).
From Father Tom: And so it must be a constant readiness to give practical help when the brother or sister needs it, no time lost, no questions asked. How many people do you know who fit this description? Perhaps one?
