1 Kings: 18: 41-46
Mt. 5: 20-26
Jesus wants us to pardon offenses and declares openly that God does
not accept the offerings of a vindictive heart (BM 623-4).
Fr. Tom: Great thought, but how
difficult to put into practice! Any
hop;e for you and me? Well, yes, let’s distinguish always between our
feelings and what we do or say. The Lord looks at our
goodwill (and of course, at how we manifest it). The exam could also include a line on how we
reacted to A, B or C and – if properly—list it as a “victory”.
