We must give to civil authority what it has a right to demand, but we must not forget that there also exists the Church, the soul and God (BM 657).

Fr. Tom: Sounds very modern, doesn’t it?  I have no idea when the Founder said this, but it doesn’t matter: it’s what we might call an eternal truth. We have to defend the Church and the right to life in our time.
