The First Friday is dedicated to the Heart of Jesus so that we may esteem and correspond to His great gifts: the Gospel, the Eucharist, the Church, the Priesthood, the Religious Life, the Blessed Virgin Mary, His death on the cross (SP Dec 1952).
From Father Tom: A useful list to show the variety of intentions for which we can pray. However my own most frequent prayer is thanksgiving to God, and I say willingly the line in our Pauline prayers: "You have given me all, I thank you."
