Somebody told me that during a Course of Spiritual Exercises, there was not a single mention of the apostolate. But, if this happened, how can the listeners build up a certain enthusiasm for our activity? Prayer and observance, yes, but not prayer only. We are not contemplatives! (VMC 903)
From Father Tom: Well, that seems to say it all. Do we have talks during the Triduum on our activity? I think so, if by "activity" we mean the challenges of daily life.
