Our duty is to remain faithful interpreters of the word and the directions of the Pope--God will give us grace to do this and we should not presume to lead the Church with the most modern theories (VMC 919).
From Father Tom: The Founder is referring to the wild 60's and 70's when "theologians" wer springing up like mushrooms all over the Church. And, as he might say, mushrooms can be deadly. Today we have the effects: broken families, broken marriages and broken hearts.
