Life is passing and we are coming to the end of our days. Soon we will leave this world and go to Paradise.  Let's prepare for heaven, let's prepare, let's prepare!" (VMC 908).

From Father Tom: Our sad world has for the most part forgotten this message or has come to consider it the illusion of life's little people who have no big accomplishments to their credit.  How unfortunate!  The real "little people" are those who put all their efforts inot work on earth---and then have to leave everything behind them!

St. Augustine said: "Noverim me"--meaning: "May I know myself," and then "Noverim Te" meaning "May I know you (Jesus)." And we should know the Lord because we are, so to speak, "grafted onto him," or "he wants to  take us over." And tat is why our life is is worthwhile. (VMC 900)

From Father Tom: This is worth reflecting on .  If we are-- as is normal--in "the state of grace" then the Lord is doing whatever we do-- unless its sinful-- and from this we see immediately the eternal value of our so-called "ordinary life."
