The Son of God washed with his blood the spiritual wounds of humanity, healing us with the oil of His grace and the wine of the Eucharist (BM 637).

From Father Tom: The Eucharist is the very center and reason for all apostolic activity. It is the Master, really present in His people, sustaining them and indicating what to do. To see it as just one of the Seven Sacraments is to miss the fundamental meaning.
