Every person must find freedom in observance of the law (BM 173).
From Father Tom: One of these Alberione observations you have to think about. Why should the law ("ties you down") give freedom? Mostly because it offers the quickest and most effective way of doing things. At least it's intended to give that benefit. Certainly the law of God gives freedom--if we would only observe it better.
